Hi,
According to the blog, "Persistent MIDI clock - Midi Clock messages will continue to be sent until a stop command is given."
What stop command is this? I have tried sending a Real Time Stop message, but that does not have any effect, the midi clock messages just keeps being sent until I power cycle the MC6 mkII. And I can not find any other Stop messages.
Thanks,
Patrik
In the main edit menu, there is a midi clock setting which you can toggle to persistent midi clock off. This will enable you to stop the midi clock each Time an action is engaged on the MC6.
In the blog post, it was referring to setting a preset to send a midi clock message with 0 bpm. That will stop the internal midi clock as well.
Even with persist = off, I'm still a bit confused why exiting from the secondary tap menu doesn't kill the persistence. It seems that I have to cause a *different* action to get the midi clock to stop, which doesn't make a ton of sense to me. The same question applies to MidiClockTap messages that *don't* invoke the tap screen. Seems that message type could benefit from a duration or number of clocks to send for non-persistant mode to release control.
The MIDI clock, when persist is off, will turn off when an action is executed on the MC6 (i.e. when a switch is pressed).
Exactly - my question is just why does "exit" from the tap menu not qualify as such an action? :)
