I like to setup the "one switch looper" in hx stomp with switches from my MC6.
There is a midi cc 49 for emulating the fs1 but i cant figure out how to set it up in
my Morningstar
Press - Rec, press again - play works but how to setup double press=erase loop
I think I remember reading that this is a known issue with using CC's to control the HX Stomp over MIDI. If you look at the Stomp manual, there is no CC under the looper controls to clear the looper contents. I'm betting the reason you're having trouble with setting a double-tap from a simulated (i.e. MIDI) version of FS1 is that the Stomp only recognizes double-taps from a hardware switch directly connected to the unit. Couldn't tell you that that's a fact, just my guess.
The current workaround, I believe, is to use the direct CC MIDI command to the looper (i.e. CC 60, value: 64-127) to force the looper into record mode, which overwrites everything currently in the buffer, and then quickly follow with a stop command. Not ideal, but you're kinda limited by what the Stomp exposes to the outside world.
I submitted the following request to ideascale 6 months ago and can be found here:

Add Midi CC to 1 Switch Looper for HX Stomp
HX Stomp has a full compliment of Midi commands save one. There is no way to delete the current loop and rearm the footswitch on the Stomp for recording. Using the Midi commands for looping virtually eliminates the need for tap dancing. But it can introduce latency that makes it very difficult to record a properly synchronized loop. Using a hybrid model where some looping functions are performed using the switch on the Stomp and other functions using a Midi controller mitigates the latency while also minimizing the need for tap dancing.
If the initial record and play actions are effected using the switch on the Stomp it is possible to record tightly synchronized loops. And overdubs can be done the same way if needed. Alternatively overdubs can be controlled via midi along with with functions to control undo, redo, stop, play, reverse, forward, and speed. All of these functions minimize the need for tap dancing.
But using a hybrid loop mode requires that the loop be deleted before the switch on the Stomp can be rearmed for recording. Which in turn reintroduces the need for tap dancing. Both Helixes and HX Effects reserve CC 67 to enter and exit Looper footswitch mode. Using the same CC to delete the loop and rearm the switch for recording would enable a form of hybrid looping control that would further enhance the HX Stomp's usability.
